Preston manager hails Everton teenager Harrison Armstrong
Harrison Armstrong wasn’t initially starting for Preston when he joined on loan, but now he appears to have established himself as a regular.
His manager Paul Heckingbottom appeared on talkSPORT this week and admitted he reckons the Toffees loanee is going to become a really top player.
“We had to be patient at the back end of the of the window when you know you’re trying to add that little bit more quality,” the Preston boss said.

“And we knew it was only loans then. So you’re looking at the Premier League’s best talent if you like Alfie Devine. You mentioned Jebbo (Daniel Jebbison) who we got early and and then Harrison.
“So I had to be patient. We’re grateful to Everton. But he’s someone I think is going to be a really, really good player and I think our fans and our players are really seeing what he’s about now and he’s a really good lad as well.”
Former Everton goalkeeping coach and now BBC Radio Lancashire commentator Alan Kelly says the fans around Deepdale haven’t been this impressed by a loan player since Jordan Pickford.
“He has settled in very well,” the Preston commentator said. “I was at Harrison’s last game, against Charlton, and he was very good. I might be a bit biased, because I gave him a glowing report when I was asked about him from my time at Everton.
“He has all the attributes of a top-class player. The Preston fans are saying they should cherish him because he is a top, top player.
“The last player they said that about was Jordan Pickford (who spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Preston).”
