Documentary reveals Chelsea refused to cooperate for Blues player’s summer exit

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen was keen on joining PSV Eindhoven on loan this season.

The Eredivisie side have released a documentary, Ever Change a Winning Team, and this covers the work done by their officials last summer.

PSV Fans highlight their desire to sign the Chelsea stopper on loan and why the transfer never took shape.

Last season, Jørgensen played 24 matches for the Blues and only six of them were in the league. He’s behind Robert Sánchez in Enzo Maresca’s pecking order.

The documentary revealed the Swedish-born Denmark international wanted to move to PSV on loan. They had also held talks with the Club World Cup winners over a loan deal.

However, Enzo Maresca’s side ‘refused to cooperate’ and therefore, the loan move didn’t go through. The Dutch club ended up signing Nick Olij permanently and Matej Kovar on loan from Bayern Leverkusen.

Jørgensen is behind the Spaniard at the west London club. He came off the bench in the Blues’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester United as Sánchez was sent off early in the game. That has been his only league appearance of this season.
