With the Jets winless through their first six games, rumors have popped up about the team potentially trading running back Breece Hall.
In August, head coach Aaron Glenn said he was not interested in trading Hall. He doubled down on that stance while speaking to reporters on Wednesday.
“They’re rumors. I still feel the same way,” he said.
Last week, Hall publicly said that he wants to remain with the Jets.
“This is my fifth month dealing with this now,” he said. “At this point, it is what it is. I’m here. I want to be here. I love being a New York Jet and everything. At the end of the day, I don’t control what goes on, I only control what I do on the field and how I handle my business off the field. So for me it’s all about servicing my teammates and coaches the best way I can, and let God handle whatever else. Every day I come out, like I said, I’m servicing my teammates and coaches, glorifying God, and whatever happens happens after that.”
But Monday, he posted a picture on Instagram with the caption “#Free20," leading some fans to wonder if that was supposed to be a cryptic message to the Jets.
Hall is in the final year of his rookie contract, making him a logical trade piece as the Nov. 4 deadline approaches.
Through six games this season, Hall has 88 carries for 410 yards and no touchdowns.
