Manchester United bolstered their options when they included several youngsters in first-team training ahead of their clash with Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.
Ruben Amorim's side are back in action when they travel to Anfield on Sunday afternoon and will hope to build upon the encouragement displayed in their recent 2-0 victory over Sunderland. Liverpool will have a point to prove after a run of three consecutive defeats across all competitions.
United had a total of 17 players away during the October international break and drafted eight youngsters into training to help accommodate those who were unavailable for the session. It is therefore unlikely any of them will be involved against Liverpool this weekend, though they all got the opportunity to impress Amorim.

Eight youngsters in first-team training
Manchester United included eight academy stars in their latest training session as they gear up for the trip to face Liverpool this weekend. Chido Obi has yet to make a matchday squad this season but has trained with the first-team and is effectively their third striker at the age of just 17.
Shea Lacey and Jim Thwaites have both been regulars in training sessions already this season and also took part at Carrington on Thursday morning. The duo are regarded as two of the most talented teenagers at the club and could both earn senior matchday roles over the course of the season.
There was also involvement for Jacob Devaney, Tyler Fletcher, and Reece Munro, as well as wide players Bendito Mantato and Sam Mather. It is understood that most of United's first-team squad participated in the session, although a few stars have been granted additional time off due to their recent international commitments.
That includes the likes of Casemiro, who featured for Brazil in their defeat to Japan on Tuesday and Amad Diallo, who scored a free-kick as Ivory Coast qualified for the World Cup two days ago.
