📈 Jermaine Johnson

Pro Bowl edge rusher Jermaine Johnson returned to the Jets in Week 6 after missing the last three games with an ankle injury. He made his presence felt on the field and off.

One of the Jets' first round picks in 2022 registered 2 pressures, 3 tackles and a fourth quarter sack against Denver in London. In addition, at the end of the third quarter, he gathered the defense on the sideline and rallied them for the final quarter.

"I am a strong believer in we can only control what we can control," Johnson said. "And in that moment, all I was saying was that every time we step out on that field, we have a legacy to uphold individually and collectively."

The defense responded to Johnson's return delivering its best game of the year. The Jets allowed a season-low 13 points, 246 total yards and posted 9.34 expected points added, the third highest total by a defense in Week 6.

"Jermaine, he's just one of these good players that brings good energy," HC Aaron Glenn said. "Obviously, he can get after the quarterback, he's stout at the point of attack, and man when you add that element to your defense it only helps you."
