The Pittsburgh Steelers could welcome back linebacker Malik Harrison against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. After suffering an MCL Sprain in the team’s Week 1 win over the New York Jets, Harrison is listed as questionable to be activated off injured reserve and return.
If that were to happen, it would be no surprise to see safety Miles Killebrew land on injured reserve with what Mike Tomlin has described as a ‘significant' knee injury.
He returned to practice on Monday, which means that November 3 will be the last day Harrison could be activated from injured reserve. If he is not, the inside linebacker would be out for the rest of the season.
Harrison stands out as someone who could piece together some of what the standout special teams ace in Killebrew could do. Before his injury, Harrison was expected to be a key piece of the Steelers’ special teams unit.
An Ohio State product, Harrison was able to play in 15 games for the Ravens, notching two sacks and 54 tackles throughout the season alongside Roquan Smith. The Ravens went through multiple players after benching Trenton Simpson, including Harrison, who struggled.
He had 174 tackles in his career, seven tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits, with career-highs in every single category coming in 2024.
