Ex-SEC star, coach arrested in prostitution sting with officer posing as teen

Former University of Tennessee star running back Jay Graham, who played in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens, was arrested in a prostitution sting on Wednesday in Nashville, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has announced.

Graham was one of three men arrested as a part of the prostitution sting. He is accused of responding to an ad on an adult escort website and beginning a conversation with an undercover officer, who allegedly told him that she was 16 years old.

The MNPD says that Jay Graham agreed to pay the officer posing as a 16-year-old $120 for sex. He is accused of going to a hotel room in Nashville and giving the undercover female officer money.

Graham was then immediately arrested and charged with patronizing prostitution with a minor and solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape. Both chargers are felonies.

The other two men arrested in the prostitution sting were 46-year-old Aaron Barnack and 20-year-old Anthony Proctor.

Barnack was charged with two counts of patronizing prostitution with a minor and two counts of solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape.

Proctor was charged with patronizing prostitution with a minor and solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape.

Jay Graham was an All-SEC running back during his time at Tennessee, rushing for 2,609 yards during his career. His best season came in 1995 when he had 1,438 rushing yards.

The North Carolina native was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft and also played with the Seahawks and Packers during his five-year NFL career.

Graham then got into coaching and had stops as an assistant at SEC programs Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Alabama. He also was on staff at Florida State win the Seminoles won the national championship in 2013.

The 50-year-old Graham was serving as the head coach at Centennial High School in Tennessee. He has been fired from his position.
