Liverpool are considered one of the key contenders for the German international, but faces intense competition from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid ahead of next summer.

Nico Schlotterbeck’s future could be a big source of concern for Borussia Dortmund ahead of the next window. There were reports back in the summer stating the centre-back was in talks over a new deal, but as things stand, the German international’s current agreement expires in 2027.
