NFL insider reveals Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s season may not be over

The Cincinnati Bengals will be kicking off the action in Week 7 of the NFL season with their Thursday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Before the season started, many may have had this game circled as a top prime time game. However, the injury to Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow changed all of that.

Burrow suffered a turf toe injury in the team’s second game of the season. Many believed that the injury all but finished Burrow’s 2-25 campaign. However, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported a different story before the Bengals game on Thursday night.

“He (Burrow) is on track, doing well, and no setbacks. Which means if he continues in that direction, he should be back on the field in mid-December,” Rapoport revealed.

That is massive news for the Bengals. However, by that time in the season, the team may already be out of the postseason race.

The hope is that Joe Flacco can give them a fighting chance, just like he did with the Cleveland Browns a few years ago. But Burrow had a healthy season last year while playing at an MVP level, and the Bengals still missed the postseason.

I guess the fanbase can still dream.
