We all know Cris Collinsworth as the guy who slides his chair into the broadcast booth while covering NFL primetime games on NBC.
Now, he's serving as a bit of an inside reporter!
Collinsworth made an appearance on the Up & Adams Show, hosted by Kay Adams. One of the topics discussed was the upcoming debut of NBA on NBC, one in which UNC basketball legend Michael Jordan will be a special contributor for.
While he might get in trouble from corporate for revealing even the slightest bit of information, they probably will be happy that the buzz around the G.O.A.T's latest venture has people excited for this new era of broadcasting within the NBA.
What EXACTLY is Michael Jordan's special contributor role with NBA on NBC?

“It will be a deep dive into the brain of Michael Jordan. Is that enough of a tease without giving away anything?... The things you would really want to know from Michael Jordan... It’s like details way inside the brain of the best basketball player that ever lived.”
Collinsworth admitted that it will serve as a "deep dive into the brain" of the six-time NBA champion. He goes on to say that fans will enjoy some insight from the brain of the best basketball player that ever live.
There's going to be plenty of UNC basketball representation among the new NBC broadcasting team. Jordan is the clear headliner, but other former Tar Heel stars, such as Vince Carter and Brad Daugherty, will also be heavily involved in the mix.
While you might not enjoy watching the NBA, you will definitely want to tune in to see what NBC has up its sleeve in regard to how it will utilize Jordan as part of its broadcasts. Based on Collinsworth's teaser, it appears that we are all in for a special treat when Jordan graces the broadcasts with his presence and legendary knowledge of the sport of basketball.
