Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija has been ruled out for the remainder of tonight’s preseason game against the Utah Jazz due to upper back stiffness, the organization announced.
The announcement about Avdija’s back stiffness came shortly after the start of the third quarter. He was on the floor at the end of the second quarter. However, after halftime, the Blazers put out their lineup that started the game, but inserted forward Kris Murray in place of Avdija.
Avdija played 16 minutes in the first half, logging eight points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover.
After tonight’s preseason finale, the Blazers are off until they tip off the regular season against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Moda Center on Tuesday, October. 22.
