Arsenal join Chelsea in monitoring a rising Serie A talent with one Gunners man reflecting on his time at Valencia.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both monitoring Juventus starlet Kenan Yildiz with a potential transfer swoop in mind, according to fresh reports in Italy.

The 20-year-old scored three in two games for the Turkey national team over the international break, a brace against Bulgaria and then a single strike against Georgia, as his stock continues to rise. The left winger has two goals and four assists for Juventus so far this term, starting every Serie A fixture of the season so far.

Fichajes had also named Manchester United as a club watching the player in a report last week. It’s claimed that Juventus value the talent at €90 million, approximately £78 million, with the star labelled the ‘complete player’ by Italian legend Alessandro del Piero.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is somewhat blessed with options on the flank after a summer of transfer activity that saw Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze join Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, another summer signing made by Andrea Berta and Arsenal this summer was that of Cristhian Mosquera. The defender arrived in north London from Valencia on a £13 million deal.

The 21-year-old has already made eight appearances for the Gunners, having signed a long-term contract set to run until 2030. Mosquera was part of the Spanish under-21 squad over the international break and Marca report that he returned to Valencia to catch up with former teammates and coaches.

Arsenal fans won’t be concerned by the visit to his former club so soon but, when asked, the defender did appear to leave the door open to a potential return one day. He said: “I’m very happy to see my former teammates again in what has been my home.

“There’s nothing like Valencia. It’s a club that gave me everything from day one, one that I’ve fallen in love with, one that I’ve become. Who knows? Life takes many twists and turns. Football takes you one place one day and another the next. But like Valencia, nothing; that’s for sure.”
