Newcastle United have problems at full-back after injuries to Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall.
Hall and Livramento are both on Newcastle United’s list of injured players and will seemingly face a reasonably lengthy period on the sidelines.
Sadly for Eddie Howe, the Newcastle United squad isn’t blessed with options at full-back. Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth can operate on the right, but the left side is where the concern lies most.
Indeed, Dan Burn has been playing there in recent games but that is hardly ideal. Howe rates Newcastle youngster Alex Murphy highly but he remains untested at the highest level.
Hall suffered a hamstring injury during Newcastle’s 4-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League and subsequently missed the win over Nottingham Forest before the international break.
Now, a fresh update has emerged.

Lewis Hall injury update as Newcastle United problems pile
According to The Daily Mail, Hall has been told that he will likely miss six to eight weeks of action after seeing a specialist for a second scan.
With the injury taking place earlier this month, some of that time has already passed.
As such, he could return later this month and before the November international break, which starts after Howe’s side play Brentford away on Sunday, 2 November, 2025.

More heartache for Lewis Hall after injury nightmare
The left-back missed the Carabao Cup final after suffering a foot injury against Liverpool in the Premier League game before their meeting at Wembley.
That was a cruel blow. Hall endured a disappointing first season at Newcastle but kicked on last time out to establish himself as an England international before that enforced absence.
Hall confirmed he felt he had a point to prove at Newcastle after his injury problems when speaking back in June.
“It makes me want to come back and sort of prove a point again, and show everyone what I can bring back to the team,” he said.
“I want to show people what I was doing before I was injured and, if anything, come back a better, stronger player for it.”
To have since suffered another injury hardly seems fair to a player who was coming good after initial doubts. It’s positive to hear that he might return reasonably soon but not having him readily available is still a worry.
