Ruben Amorim has a 'personal problem' with one star
Liverpool and Manchester United are both struggling to find their form this season, making their upcoming clash even more tantalising.
Despite a strong start with five victories, Liverpool have hit a snag, suffering three back-to-back losses across all competitions. Old Trafford has seen a flurry of new faces, including Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Mathues Cunha, brought in to bolster the United attack.
However, they've yet to gel as a team, leaving them languishing in 10th place in the Premier League table with just three wins from seven matches. Sunday's match offers a chance to kick-start their season.
Even though the transfer window is shut and January is still some way off, speculation continues to buzz around Amorim's squad, with significant player movement seeming likely. Amid these rumours and the looming weekend match, Daily Star Sport delves into the latest news.

Former United defender Paul Parker suggests that Amorim has a personal problem with midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. The young talent has seen little pitch time this season, despite earning plaudits in recent years for his impressive skills and ability to perform at the top level.
Speaking to MyBettingSites, Parker questioned: "We also have to ask why Mainoo hasn't been used in that midfield, reports the Mirror.
"Somewhere along the line because I've been looking at it, it has to be personal. It has to be personal and the truth has to be told somewhere. He doesn't like him or he doesn't like him as a player. It doesn't make any sense at all."

With midfield maestro Casemiro set to depart when his contract runs out at season's end, and Mainoo possibly following suit, United will be on the hunt for fresh midfield talent next summer.
Three stars are reportedly on United's radar: Adam Wharton is being touted as a possible recruit after his standout performances for Crystal Palace recently.

Another hot prospect is Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson, who's also on the radar of rivals Manchester City, but United might just swoop in for him in 2026. Anderson made his England debut in early September and turned heads under Thomas Tuchel in his first match.
Brighton's Carlos Baleba is another option, a player United had their sights on last summer; however, Brighton's hefty £100m-plus price tag for the rising star was a bridge too far. Despite this, it seems United will be back at the negotiation table with Brighton come the new year.
