'All the best' - Real Madrid star sends Manchester United's newest hero message ahead of…

Man Utd face Liverpool FC in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United will hope to build upon their 2-0 win over Sunderland when they make the short trip to face Liverpool at Anfield this weekend. There were plenty of positives for Ruben Amorim's side from their home victory before the international break, though they know they are in for a much tougher test against the reigning Premier League champions.

Liverpool might have lost three consecutive matches across all competitions, though those defeats all came on the road, and they have been flawless at home in the first months of the season. Arne Slot's side will also have a point to prove as they look to turn their fortunes around against their fiercest rivals.

If United are to have any chance of victory this weekend, Senne Lammens might need to produce another good performance after his impressive debut against Sunderland. The Belgian had to wait for his debut and wasted little time showing just how good he was with a commanding display in goal.

Courtois sends Lammens a message

Senne Lammens was away with the Belgian national side during the international break, where he remains understudy to Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois. Lammens has yet to make his international debut and still has lots of work to do if he is to succeed Courtois.

The first task is to become the first-choice at Manchester United and he could take a step towards that against Liverpool this weekend. Speaking after Belgium defeated Wales earlier in the week, Courtois was asked about Lammens' move to Manchester and what fans should expect from him.

“The first game was a flavour of what United will get,” the Real Madrid goalkeeper told reporters. “He’s a tall guy, he is not afraid to come on crosses and he’s a kid with personality. I’m sure he can do a good job. He has a tough game this weekend, so I hope if he plays it will go well for him. All the best to him.”

When pushed further on the weekend trip to Anfield, Courtois joked: “It’s a hard stadium. Maybe I should tell him (Lammens) to clap the home fans when he arrives at the Kop. I will go there myself in a few weeks on November 4. It is a tough game there and I guess Liverpool also have to bounce back after losing a few games.”
