CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A gunman in a vehicle opened fire in downtown Cincinnati, killing a man inside a car early Friday, police say.
It happened outside a bar just a few hours after the Cincinnati Bengals broke their losing streak in a home game at Paycor Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Homicide investigators responded next to Great American Tower at East Third Street and Sycamore Street near Great American Ball Park around 2 a.m.

Victim shot several times
A man in his 20s to early 30s was found shot inside a BMW, said Captain Stephen Bower, the night chief.
Cincinnati fire crews attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Captain Bower said it appears the suspect’s vehicle pulled up alongside the BMW and someone inside fired several shots at the victim.
Police are following up on reports that a truck and a car sped away from the area.
They are investigating whether those vehicles were involved, Captain Bower said.
3rd person shot Downtown this week
This victim is the third person shot in downtown Cincinnati in just four days this week.
Two people were shot on Fountain Square in the heart of Downtown Monday night - and that shooting was one of four that evening alone and the second one on the square in less than a week.
This all comes as the future of leadership at the Cincinnati Police Department remains uncertain.
Chief Teresa Theetge was asked to resign earlier this week but has not stepped down, FOX19 NOW confirmed Thursday night.
In anticipation of the Bengals game, police presence was stepped up Downtown and along The Banks near Paycor Stadium. That included SWAT officers and those in the police department’s Civil Disturbance Response team.
Officers were also out walking and on bikes and trikes.
In addition, police urged gun owners to leave their weapons at home or inside a gun lock or safe.
“What I can say is without a doubt, Cincinnati, all of our CPD, City Hall, all of our administration is focused on public safety right now. Maintaining safety and making the city even safer continues to be our priority and that’s what we’ll continue to do,” Mayor Aftab Pureval told FOX19 NOW Thursday morning.
