Two ex-Premier League legends reckon Arsenal will maintain their superb recent form and claim a fifth consecutive victory when they face Fulham on Saturday. Mikel Arteta's squad head across London to take on the Cottagers as they return to competitive action following the October international break.
Having defeated Port Vale, Newcastle United, Olympiacos and West Ham prior to the fortnight's pause, the Gunners have built considerable momentum and will be eager to sustain that at Craven Cottage.
Liverpool's stumble before the international period allowed Arsenal to climb to the summit, with the Gunners sitting one point clear of the Reds after seven matches, securing five victories and one draw.
Tottenham and Bournemouth represent the nearest threats to the leading pair at this juncture, though Manchester City remain within striking distance.
Arsenal will be concentrating on completing their own business right now, though, ahead of this weekend's journey to Fulham, but can the Gunners secure another crucial triumph?
Former Gunners midfielder Paul Merson and ex-Blackburn and Celtic striker Chris Sutton believe they will - and in commanding fashion. Speaking to sportskeeda, Merson is convinced that Arsenal will overcome Fulham 2-0 and establish a four-point advantage over Liverpool in the Premier League standings.
"If you're Arsenal, these are the games that are going to win you the league. I've seen them slipping up in games like these too many times," he said. "Arsenal did not beat West Ham last year and they did that this season. They also lost to Fulham last season, so they can send a huge statement with a win against Fulham.

"Three points in this game will send a strong message to their rivals about them learning from the mistakes of the past. Last season, when Arsenal finished second to Liverpool, they lost to West Ham, Fulham and Newcastle. If Arsenal win this Saturday, that's all of those three teams beaten this season, and nine points they missed last time in the bag already!
"I actually think that if Arsenal win this game, they will walk the league title! It's an unbelievable squad and the depth is insane. Arsenal have two good players for every position on the pitch. When you compare it to Liverpool, if Virgil van Dijk gets injured, goodnight! Ryan Gravenberch injured? Goodnight! Even Mo Salah, again goodnight.
"Arsenal look unstoppable. Nobody can catch them if they keep playing like this! If they hadn't lost to Liverpool, we would've been thinking, 'can anyone actually beat them this season?'.
"Arsenal have had the toughest start to a football season and they are still the league leaders! I expect them to kick on from here starting with a comfortable win over Fulham."
Meanwhile, Sutton concurs that Arsenal are set to triumph and has forecasted the same 2-0 victory for the away side. "Fulham are no pushovers and they drew this fixture last season, but no-one is stopping Arsenal at the moment," he said in his weekly column with BBC Sport.
"Martin Odegaard is out injured for a few weeks but it won't make a difference. Their squad depth is so strong and my feeling right now is that they are going to power their way to the title."
