Mark Clattenburg disagrees with Paul Merson as he gives Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth prediction

Crystal Palace and Bournemouth go head to head at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this weekend.

Crystal Palace are back on home soil this weekend where they welcome high-flying Bournemouth in what should be an exciting game between two of this season’s early European contenders.

Before the break, Crystal Palace saw their 19-game unbeaten run come to an end away at Everton, though Oliver Glasner’s side had plenty of positives to take from the game.

And there have been positives during the international break, too. Jean-Philippe Mateta scored his first goal for France, in what was his second cap for his country, whilst Daichi Kamada helped Japan beat Brazil in a 3-2 comeback win.

Mark Clattenburg gives Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth score prediction

Speaking recently, Paul Merson gave his Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth prediction, and the former Arsenal man said the game will end 2-2. Speaking to TBR Football, former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg went for a different outcome in South London.

He’s predicted a return to winning ways for Palace and Oliver Glasner. Clattenburg said: “Another tough one to call as both teams are in great form, but I think Crystal Palace will win,” predicting a 2-0 win for the Eagles.

Palace’s recent form against the Cherries has certainly been mixed: they’ve not beaten Bournemouth in their last four, drawing the last two, but winning five of their last 10 games against the south coast club.

Crystal Palace’s next five fixtures

As ever, Palace face another congested run of fixtures ahead of the November international break, which begins after Palace play Brighton on home soil on November 9th.

But before then, Glasner’s side have some tough fixtures in both the Premier League and in cup competitions, with games against AEK Larnaca in the Conference League, Arsenal in the Premier League, and Liverpool in the Carabao Cup following the Bournemouth game.

Fixture Competition

Bournemouth (H) Premier League

AEK Larnaca (H) Conference League

Arsenal (A) Premier League

Liverpool (A) Carabao Cup

Brentford (H) Premier League

Palace started their Conference League campaign with a confident 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in Poland at the start of the month, so expect the Eagles to be confident of a win against Cypriot side AEK Larnaca when they head to Selhurst Park on October 23rd.
