West Ham may contemplate a bid for Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi in the next transfer window, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that the Hammers will be in the market for a “young striker in January”, which would rule out a move for Ivan Toney.
Other names, including Real Madrid’s Endrick, have been mentioned as potential options, but it is believed that Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee and Adeyemi are more realistic targets.

Zirkzee is keen to get game time after having not started a match so far this season, while the identity of Adeyemi’s agent could help West Ham get a deal over the line for the German international.
West Ham are expected to target players linked with Mendes
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is managed by Nuno Mendes, and the super agent recently became Adeyemi’s representative back in the summer.
Combined with the fact that Adeyemi is a former teammate of Niclas Fullkrug, it could be enough to persuade the forward to make the switch to the London Stadium.
Of course, the main issue is likely to be the transfer fee. Adeyemi has been starting games regularly for Dortmund so he could be priced out of a move.
Fullkrug’s injury problems give Nuno a major headache
With the 32-year-old expected to be sidelined for several weeks with a thigh injury, the Irons boss will have to make do with Callum Wilson and the inexperienced Callum Marshall as his only strikers.
There have been suggestions that a move for a free agent could be made to add numbers to the squad, but Nuno has reportedly already said ‘no’ to one option, Emmanuel Dennis.
It looks like West Ham will have to make do with what they have until January, when they will make a concerted effort to bring in reinforcements up front.
