Wayne Rooney questions Marcus Rashford over ‘environment’ claims
Over the past week, claims have emerged from Rashford, blaming the environment at United for his struggles at the club.
Rashford has been slammed for these comments, and now, speaking on the Wayne Rooney Show, the United legend has expressed his own worries over the comments.
“Yeah, well, obviously, I think the environment hasn’t been right. I spoke about this a few weeks ago, but that’s down to you. If you’re not playing well and you’re not having a good game or you get left out of the team, then, you know, I think it’s easy to blame the environment and whether that’s right or wrong and whatever.
“I think that becomes how you apply yourself, how you’re, you know, in games, we’ve seen it with Marcus, where we know we can do more, we know we can run more. That’s not to do with the environment. So, I think it’s an easy one, and for him to say he’s going to Barcelona, he started well, and then you just hope that, you know, if he has a few bad games, that he doesn’t start saying that environment is wrong.

“That, you know, I might be wrong here, but I really like Marcus as a lad, as a person. But I think that’s an easy one to throw at people.”
Rooney has often been a vocal supporter of Rashford, and this is advice that the former United number 10 should heed at Barcelona.
Marcus Rashford says he’s capable of even more goals and assists
Rashford is making his mark at Barcelona, playing in a manner that the permanent deal will surely be definite for a bargain £26m.
However, Rashford also thinks he can bring even more, as Fabrizio Romano has quoted him as saying.
“I’m happy to be Barça’s top scorer and assister right now, but I know I can still do better”.
“I haven’t reached my limit yet, though I’m getting close to it”.

Rashford could very easily put together a season that has him in Ballon d’Or contention next season, with the current rate of goal contributions being that good.
He will also be hoping to bring this form to the World Cup next summer.
