RB Leipzig are interested in Brentford youngster Benjamin Frederick and have already made a bid for him.
That’s [according to Africa Foot](https://africafoot.com/benjamin-fredrick-courtise-par-le-rb-leipzig/), who report that the German side are keen on the ‘dazzling’ right-back.
According to their information, RB Leipzig are ‘closely monitoring’ the Brentford youngster, who is currently on loan at FCV Dender EH in the Jupiler Pro League.
The German club remain determined to scoop up young players with high potential and Frederick is on their radar. In fact, Leipzig’s sporting director contacted Brentford’s management a few days ago to enquire about the 20-year-old right-back.
They then made an offer to sign him at the end of his loan. This was valued at €1.5m, plus 15% of a future sale. There’s no indication of how Brentford responded to this bid.
Frederick, though, has caught the eye of the Bundesliga side with his ‘dazzling’ speed. They see him as the perfect modern full-back, capable of defending well but also favouring being part of the attack.
They’re seemingly keeping a close eye on his development in Belgium, where he already has 10 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season. Whether Brentford are interested in a sale, remains to be seen.
