Exclusive: Chelsea and Aston Villa eyeing Dylan Gorosito move after impressive Argentina performances
TBR Football understands that a number of Premier League clubs are chasing Argentine starlet Gorosito, who has emerged as one of the stars of the tournament.
Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are also believed to have taken note of Gorosito’s displays, which have been eye catching to say the least.
The young Boca Juniors right-back has shone for Diego Placente’s team by playing a leading role in helping them to the final in Chile, where they will meet African counterparts Morocco on Sunday. Gorosito has already made his debut for Boca Juniors, a club he joined before he was 10.
Now the 19-year-old has emerged on the radar of a number European sides with his performances in the last few weeks, with Enzo Maresca’s side set to battle it out with Aston Villa and other Premier League clubs to secure his services.
Chelsea and Manchester City’s ownership groups – BlueCo and City Group – are amongst the most represented in Chile, and they are both on Gorosito’s trail as well. Furthermore, the Red Bull Group, which includes RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg, as well as Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Atletico Madrid have taken a liking to the teenager.
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey stated that Gorosito has been outstanding during the tournament and that has seen him raise his stock to the next level. He said: “There are a number of players heading in the tournament in Chile that clubs were well aware of already, the likes of Neiser Villarreal and Ian Subiabre, but there are others who emerge and become targets – and Gorosito is one of those.
“I am told he has been outstanding throughout, his goal against Italy was sublime but he is not just a winger playing full-back, he can defend too.
“He has not had the chances many think he should have at Boca Juniors, but off the back of this tournament he could earn a move to Europe before he becomes a regular for his club.”
Gorosito, whilst impressing in his defensive work, has also claimed three assists and a brilliant solo goal against Italy in the group stages.

The past five winners of the Under-20 World Cup’s ‘Best Player’ award
Even in previous editions of the competition itself, former Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei won the Best Player of the Tournament award last time out.
The Under-20 World Cup has seen players such as Erling Haaland, Lee Kang-in, Lautaro Martinez and Federico Valverde feature in years gone by – and clubs will be hoping Gorosito can follow suit in terms of superstar status.
