Nottingham Forest are said to have their eye on another highly-rated Brazilian youngster as they plot future transfer business.
The Reds have made good use of the South American market in recent windows. They already have seven Brazilians on their books but could soon add to that contingent, according to local reports.
Palmeiras teenager Benedetti has emerged as a potential target for Forest. However, there is already plenty of competition for the centre-back.
According to ESPN Brazil (via Sport Witness), the Reds have joined Arsenal and Barcelona in keeping tabs on Benedetti. They are said to have requested ‘detailed information’ on the 19-year-old.
A price tag in the region of €12-15 million (£10-13m) has reportedly been placed on the teenager’s head. Palmeiras are not under pressure to sell but would be ‘open to negotiations’, if the right deal materialised - likely one including add-ons and a sell-on clause.
Barcelona are said to have stepped up their scouting mission on the defender and could try their luck with a £10m bid in January. However, Palmeiras could look to hang on to Benedetti until next summer if they believe their valuation is not met.

The left-footed centre-back, who has made only a handful of senior appearances, is under contract until December 2029. He came up through the ranks at Palmeiras after spending time at Noroeste, Catanduva and Ferroviaria earlier on in his career.
Forest have Brazilians John Victor, Morato, Murillo, Jair Cunha, Douglas Luiz, Igor Jesus and Cuiabano on their books. The latter returned to Botafogo on loan until December after signing for the Reds in the summer.
Murillo, in particular, has become a key player in the Garibaldi since his 2023 switch from Corinthians for the bargain price of roughly £11m. He has established an excellent partnership in the centre of defence with Nikola Milenkovic and is one of the first names on the team-sheet when fit.
Murillo has rarely been short of admirers after taking to English football with ease. Bayern Munich and Chelsea were recently said to be keeping tabs on him.
