Vitor Pereira confirms two Wolves players a doubt for Sunderland clash

Speaking to the media ahead of Wolves’ Premier League clash with Sunderland, Vitor Pereira has given an update on the fitness of his players.

Wolves have to get a win on Saturday. Too many games have passed without three points for Vitor Pereira’s men.

With that in mind, Pereira needs to get his lineup selection right. He has big decisions to make all over the pitch, but has revealed that two Wolves players might not be available.

Hwang Hee-chan and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde doubts for Sunderland

When asked about injuries in the squad, Pereira’s list was thankfully short.

He said: “We have some small problems with injuries, with Hee-chan. Bellegarde is sick, let’s see if we have them for tomorrow.”

Hwang and Bellegarde haven’t been mainstays in the side so far this season, so their absence won’t affect the starting lineup too much, but they are impact players who Pereira might not be able to turn to.

Hwang’s absence, in particular, gives Pereira a one-dimensional approach up top with Jorgen Strand Larsen and Tolu Arokodare.

But no bona fide starters have been hit with injuries over the international break, so that’s good news for Wolves. Let’s see what damage they can do at The Stadium of Light with a full-strength XI.
