Liverpool and Manchester United meet for the first time this season on Sunday when Arne Slot's men will look to end their barren run of three straight defeats.
Prior to the international break, the Reds suffered three straight defeats to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea. It has left them one point behind Premier League leaders Arsenal after seven games.
United enter this fixture following a comfortable 2-0 victory over Sunderland two weeks ago. However, Ruben Amorim's men currently sit 10th in the table after only managing just three wins.
On Friday, the Portuguese head coach met with the media to discuss the latest United injury news ahead of the trip to Anfield
Noussair Mazraoui
The defender hasn't featured since September 20, though he did join up with Morocco's squad for their World Cup qualification triumphs over Congo and Bahrain.
Nevertheless, he remained unused in both encounters. Mazraoui has returned to Carrington, though his availability for Anfield remains uncertain.
What Amorim has said: During Friday's pre-match briefing, he stated: "Mazraoui, I don't know."
Possible return date: Liverpool (A) - Sunday, October 19.

Lisandro Martinez
Injury: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
Martinez suffered ACL damage during February's 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace and, following successful surgical intervention, continues his rehabilitation programme. No specific timeframe has been set for the defender's comeback, though he has recently resumed training on the pitch.
Despite speculation suggesting he might be available following the October international break, Martinez will miss the clash with Liverpool.
What Amorim has said: "Licha is not available. Near but is just returning."
Possible return date: November.
Ayden Heaven
Heaven has remained on the bench for United's previous five matches, with his last outing being the EFL Cup loss to Grimsby Town. The youngster sustained an injury whilst representing his country.
The defender required treatment during England's Under-20s defeat to Switzerland before being withdrawn at the interval. Encouragingly, Amorim made no mention of Heaven during his pre-match media briefing.
What Amorim has said: "The rest of the guys, the national players are ready but if you saw the games, some of the players played in Japan so we need to be careful to give more time," he said on Friday.
"We try to balance everything to get everyone ready but the guys who are returning from national teams are ready to play."
Return date: Sunday, October 19.
