Steve Cooper has dismissed speculation linking him with a potential return to Nottingham Forest.
[BOLD cover comments](https://bold.dk/fodbold/stillinger/superligaen/nyheder/steve-cooper-rygtet-til-forest-kun-fokus-pa-brondby) from the Brondby manager today in which he insists that he has no interest in reading media speculation about himself and his former club.
Nottingham Forest may be on the hunt for a new manager in the next few weeks. Pressure is growing on Ange Postecoglou and he sounded annoyed on Friday.
He arrived to replace Nuno Espirito Santo at Nottingham Forest a month ago but is yet to win in seven games in all competitions. Indeed, he’s lost five of those games to date.
The pressure had been quickly building, particularly as fans had not wanted to see Espirito Santo depart.
Postecoglou has been bullish about that, today coming out fighting for himself in his press conference.
That can’t stop media reports linking other names with his job, though. At least one report has named Cooper as a potential candidate. He was Nottingham Forest manager from 2021 to 2023, leading them from the Championship back to the Premier League.
Cooper remains a popular figure but insists he has no intention of reading reports as he’s happy at Brondby.

_“I don’t read the media. I’m not aware of anything. I’m just really focused on my work,” he said._
_“I think I’ve said it many times, both in front of and behind the cameras, that I really enjoy this and am committed to what we can achieve. That’s the only thing that occupies my mind._
_“As I said, all I do is focus on the work here every day, and I really enjoy it. It’s a great honour to be here, and I really want to respect my position and do my very best to do the best job possible”_
The manager has faced some scepticism in Denmark over various aspects of his approach. Sections of the Danish media weren’t convinced at the start and tend to doubt wherever possible.
