Kyler Murray Status Still To Be Determined For Packers Game

For a second straight week, the Cardinals will look to see how starting quarterback Kyler Murray is responding to his foot injury into the weekend before officially determining if he will play.

The Cardinals host the Packers on Sunday.

Coach Jonathan Gannon said Murray is "doing well," in his brief comment about the QB.

Murray has been limited in practice this week and is expected to be limited again in Friday's workout. His official game status will be out Friday afternoon.

Backup QB Jacoby Brissett threw for 320 yards in last week's 31-27 loss in Indianapolis, just six yards shy of his career-best. The Cardinals had 400 yards of offense, their highest total in six games.

Gannon has reiterated that Murray will return to the lineup when he is healthy enough to play. With the team's bye coming after the Packers game, Murray will get an extra week of rest and rehab. The Cardinals play in Dallas on Monday night in Week 9 after the bye.
