Liverpool and Manchester United will clash for the first time this season when Arne Slot's men look to end their run of three straight defeats.
The reigning Premier League champions have stumbled through their last three outings across all competitions, falling to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea. United, meanwhile, head to Anfield buoyed by a convincing 2-0 triumph over Sunderland.
After the second international pause of the campaign, the two teams will square off on Merseyside in the weekend's standout encounter. Fortunately, Liverpool have enjoyed success against their rivals on Merseyside, avoiding defeat in the last 10 fixtures.
On Friday, both Amorim and Slot delivered the latest fitness updates during their respective press briefings. For Liverpool, three key players enter Sunday's match with uncertainties surrounding them.
Goalkeeper Alisson has been ruled out, while Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch have fitness concerns for the game, with Slot revealing their chances of playing.
"Ryan is completely fit, still has to train but fit, we are in a good place with the Dutch side," Slot confirmed in his press conference. "Ibou has come back to us and is expected to train today.

"Alisson is not training so he is out. How long out? Difficult to say as the end phase of rehab always gives you positives and negatives but not the weekend or next week."
For United, uncertainty remains over whether Noussair Mazraoui will be available for the weekend clash. Since his last outing in the 2-1 triumph against Chelsea on September 20, the defender has been absent with an undisclosed problem.
Whilst he joined up with Morocco's squad during the international window, he remained unused in victories over Congo and Bahrain, reports the Manchester Evening News.
"Mazraoui, I don't know," Amorim admitted when pressed about his squad's condition. With Mazraoui appearing touch-and-go for the fixture, United could receive a welcome lift should he return.
Lisandro Martinez will undoubtedly miss the journey to Anfield, though Amorim confirmed the defender is nearing a comeback from his ACL setback.
The United manager added to the team news, stating: "The rest of the guys, the national players are ready but if you saw the games, some of the players played in Japan so we need to be careful to give more time."
