Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has dropped a positive injury update after fears over his involvement against Manchester United. The Frenchman was forced off against Chelsea on the eve of the international break and he was subsequently released from duty due to a thigh injury.
, following back-to-back defeats in the , as they sit second - one point behind Arsenal. Konate has been everpresent for the champions but his injury record has posed as a worry for Liverpool's defensive options.

On Friday evening, Konate posted a series of pictures to his social media - namely Instagram - as he displayed snaps arriving at training, undergoing his activation activities but also in the post-training celebrations.
Going into Sunday's showdown at against Ruben Amorim's side, Slot confirmed that Ryan Gravenberch was fit to play despite being sacrificed during the break for the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, he noted that Konate would feature in training.
Slot said: "Ryan is completely fit, although we still have to train twice.
"But if you ask me now he is completely fit.
“We are in a good place with the Dutch national team if Ronald Koeman can make a decision either to play Tijjani Reijnders or Ryan Gravenberch, so he played them both 45 minutes.
"Ibou has come back to us, started the sessions again and is expected to train with us today."
The social media post appears to confirm that Konate completed first-team training for Liverpool.
For the Reds' selection options, it will hinge on whether there is any flare-up of the issue.
