Maresca reflects on a possible turning point in Chelsea’s campaign

**Enzo Maresca**is back in front of the press after he received a red card in the latter stages of the clash with Liverpool. **Chelsea**claimed all three points at the death at Stamford Bridge against the reigning champions of the Premier League thanks to a close range finish from Estevao.

The Brazilian bagged his first goal for the Blues, and the team had ended a three game winless streak in the league with two red cards in 2-1 and 3-1 defeats against **Man United**and Brighton. It is no surprise that emotions were running high in the dugout, and in amidst all the action, Maresca reacted passionately. He earned a suspension for his behaviour and could not conduct post-match press duties.

He is now looking forward to the fixture against Nottingham Forest as an opportunity to roll on the momentum from the match, and he has no regrets about his reaction in the moment to the late winner.

*“It was a big moment for many reasons. The first reason is because since I joined the club, we never won a game at home in the last minute, so that was one of the reasons. The other reason is because we were playing against, in this moment, the champion of England, they won the last Premier League.*

“It was an important moment, for sure. For me personally it was just a reaction, just a patient moment, just a normal reaction.

“It was a nice moment. Last season I was playing for one game for the accumulation of yellow cards. Again, the last yellow card was against Fulham away, where we won a game in the last minute.

“So I think it's part of our job, the moment, the passion, the reaction, and I think it's also nice for everyone, for the fans, for the stadium, it was just a reaction.”
