Enzo Maresca gave a worrying update about the talismanic ten of Chelsea, Cole Palmer.
Palmer pulled out of the game against West Ham with a niggle in August, and came off at **Old Trafford**in a 2-1 defeat to **Man United**less than 20 minutes after kickoff. He has not featured since for the Blues, and the pain in his groin is proving to be even more problematic than first feared.
Maresca maintains faith in the rest of his squad to offer solutions in the positions he picks up, but there is no doubt that the team will benefit from the return of the attacker when the time is right.
“I was wrong. Unfortunately he needs to be out probably six more weeks.
“Unfortunately the medical staff, they are not magicians, they never know that you probably need six weeks. We hope that six weeks, they are enough, but it's a problem that we need to see step by step, week after week, but for sure he's going to be okay.
“No, he looks very good, to be honest, he looks relaxed. He's trying to recover from the injury, he's doing all the therapy that he needs to do, so he looks good.
“First of all, to replace Cole is difficult, because Cole is a very important player for us, probably one of the best players in the Premier League, so to replace that kind of player is always difficult.
*“I think the ones that we have, it depends on the game plan, Cole's position against Liverpool was Malo Gusto, the previous game against Benfica I think it was Facundo Buonanotte, it depends a little bit on the game plan we have, for sure we need to find a different solution, we need to find different skills, because we don't have another player like Cole, because Cole is unique.”*
