Bears injury report: Kicker Jake Moody to face Saints

Kicker Jake Moody will have a chance to follow up on his best performance of the season.

The Bears on Friday ruled out kicker Cairo Santos for Sunday’s game against the Saints, opening the door for Moody to make his second straight appearance — and first at Soldier Field. He went 4-for-5 on field goals against the Commander and made a 38-yarder to win the game as time expired.

Receiver DJ Moore will play, too, after staying back at a hospital in suburban Washington D.C., with a groin injury Monday night. He returned to Chicago on Tuesday and was limited in Thursday’s practice. He was full-go Friday and was taken off the injury report.

Running back D’Andre Swift is questionable with a groin injury after being limited the past two days. Coach Ben Johnson said he was “hopeful” about his availability Sunday.

Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett practiced for the first time in four weeks Friday and was called questionable. He’s been battling a knee injury.

Defensive end Austin Booker, running back Travis Homer and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga are in the three-week window to return from injured reserve and were called questionable. The Bears would need to activate them Saturday for them to play Sunday.

The Bears ruled out linebacker Noah Sewell, who has a concussion.
