Ex-All-Pro predicts Steelers make blockbuster trade for Eagles superstar wide receiver: ‘Where…

Former All-Pro wide receiver Chad Johnson believes that the Pittsburgh Steelers will make a huge trade at the trade deadline for star Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Brown has been disgruntled with his role in the Eagles organization so far this season, sparking the trade rumors.

Johnson, who believes the Steelers have an offense that is good but could be elevated by another star wide receiver, tabs Brown as the best fit between reuniting with his former offensive coordinator in Arthur Smith and former college teammate DK Metcalf,

“I’m just throwing that out there,” Johnson said on the Nightcap Podcast. “Because they’ve always been talking about trades. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. The fact that it was even mentioned that if things don’t turn around for the Eagles, even if they win, that’s something that can happen.”

Johnson’s trade is a bold one for the Steelers to pull off, but they have been rumored to be in the market. Brown would the biggest trade they could make, though there are others around the market such as Jakobi Meyers, Allen Lazard, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed.

Pittsburgh has looked for another playmaker to emerge outside of DK Metcalf and the tight ends while Calvin Austin III has been injured. When Austin gets back, he will assume that role once again.

Brown would bring fireworks to the Steelers’ offense, but the cost would be gigantic, and the Steelers would have to consider if they are willing to part ways with that much draft capital to land him if the opportunity arose.
