CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A settlement between the city of Cleveland and the Browns would allow for a lease extension at the downtown stadium.
Currently, the Browns are set to play at Huntington Bank Field until 2029.
But, according to an agreement obtained by 19 News, the team could play there for two more seasons if the domed stadium isn’t ready.
This gives the Haslams an insurance policy if there are construction delays in Brook Park.
The Haslams will have to give the city one year’s notice if they plan on extending the current lease.
