The San Antonio Spurs will attempt to finish their 2025-26 preseason play with an undefeated record tonight when the Silver and Black hosts the Indiana Pacers. Currently, the Spurs are 4-0 in exhibition games — with their latest contest a win over these same Pacers in Indiana.
Only two other teams in the NBA are undefeated in the preseason: the Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic. In San Antonio’s four victories, they’ve won by an average of 14 points.
Of course, none of this matters once the regular season begins. The Spurs will play their first regular season game on Wednesday in Dallas against Cooper Flagg, Anthony Davis and the Dallas Mavericks.
San Antonio Spurs Injury Update
Unfortunately, the Spurs are still dealing with the injury bug as the preseason is winding down. De’Aaron Fox is out with a hamstring injury and will miss the beginning of the regular season. Jeremy Sochan recently suffered a wrist injury and he is expected to be on the sidelines when the regular season commences. Lindy Waters III underwent eye surgery and he too will be on the sidelines on Wednesday against the Mavs.
Kelly Olynyk will miss tonight’s game versus the Pacers but there is hope that he will play on Wednesday when the games begin to mean something.
Jordan McLaughlin hasn’t played in the preseason but there’s a chance he plays tonight. If not tonight, McLaughlin should be ready to go once the regular season starts.
Adam Flagler, who is trying to make the team, is out versus the Pacers with a knee injury.
San Antonio Spurs Starting Lineup
Expect head coach Mitch Johnson to start Victor Wembanyama at center, Harrison Barnes at power forward, Julian Champagnie at small forward, Devin Vassell at shooting guard and Stephon Castle at point guard. That moves Keldon Johnson to the bench — and that’s where he spent a majority of last season.
Johnson has been sizzling in the preseason. In 19.8 minutes per game, he’s averaging 15 points on 78.6% shooting from the field, 71.4% shooting from the three-point line and he’s 11-for-11 at the free throw stripe.
Betting Guide: Spurs vs. Pacers
The Spurs are favored by 5.5 points and the over/under is at 234.5 points. The smart money is on the over. Both teams will be looking to get out and run and defense could be in short supply in this preseason finale.
