The Packers have the potential opportunity to “get right” in all phases Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Arizona has struggled this season with mental lapses on defense, sustaining any sort of momentum on offense, and making costly mistakes at times, which could give the Packers the opportunity to finally put together a full 60-minute game where they run out to and protect a big lead.
The Cardinals may also be starting veteran backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett for the second consecutive week.

If Kyler Murray misses a second consecutive week, and Brissett is pressed into action, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley believes that there’s a key aspect of the Cardinals’ offense that Green Bay’s front seven has to be wary of on Sunday afternoon.
“In the play-action game, I thought their staff did a really nice job,” Hafley told reporters this week. “They schemed up some explosives across the field that he hit off the play-action game. I thought they got the ball out of his hand, he made some good, quick decisions. Even under pressure, they pressured him quite a bit, and he made some really quick plays, some good plays. He kept some alive. He’s played a lot of football. Tough, stands in the pocket. He’s got a strong arm, he knows where he’s going with it. They had a good day and a chance to win it on the last play, on the last pass. I was impressed watching his tape.”
Last week against the Indianapolis Colts, Brissett nearly pulled off the upset of the AFC South leaders, completing 27-of-44 passes for 320 yards with two touchdowns to one interception and adding 19 rushing yards.
If the Packers want to take advantage of the Cardinals’ quarterback situation, they’ll need to pressure Jacoby Brissett while staying disciplined against his play-action game; the very element Jeff Hafley highlighted as dangerous.
Limiting Brissett’s quick decisions and explosive plays will be key if Green Bay hopes to protect a lead and finally play a full, mistake-free 60 minutes.
