Cardinals Get Positive Injury News Amid Kyler Murray Uncertainty

The Arizona Cardinals are set to go into their Week 7 matchup against the Green Bay Packers with significant questions as to whether it will be Kyler Murray or Jacoby Brissett under center for the game. However, the team received a bit of a silver lining regardless of who is the starting quarterback in the matchup pertaining to star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Harrison was forced to prematurely exit from the team’s Week 6 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts after suffering a concussion in the second quarter of the game, which has resulted in Harrison being a limited practice participant most of the week.

Despite Harrison’s absence and Murray being forced to miss the game in Week 6, the Cardinals’ passing attack performed as well as they have all season, with Brissett throwing for 320 yards in a losing effort.

However, Cardinals fans know that Harrison Jr. has to be a big part of the offense moving forward if the team is going to snap their four-game losing streak in Week 7 against the Packers.

Fortunately, the team received a positive update on Harrison Jr. on Friday. Not only did Harrison Jr. practice in full on Friday, but he was officially cleared from the NFL concussion protocol, meaning he will play on Sunday.

Regardless of who is under center for Arizona, this news should certainly go a long way in the team’s effort of coming away with what would be an upset win over the Packers.

Harrison has undoubtedly been the most impactful wide receiver on the Cardinals thus far this season, with 338 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Now, the attention of Arizona fans will solely shift to the status of Murray, who is officially listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity on Friday, though there are perhaps even bigger concerns for the team when it comes to how they plan on stopping the Packers’ offense on Sunday.

Given the fact that Green Bay is currently in the top 10 in yards per game this season, Sunday’s game may be a struggle for a Cardinals’ defense that ranks in the bottom five of the NFL in yards per game allowed.

Still, this news about Harrison should go a long way in the team’s effort of coming away with what would be an upset win over the Packers.
