ANDONI Iraola said the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/?ref=au) must continue to adapt to the scheduling of the season as international breaks are set to change next term.
In the 2026/27 season, the September and October international break windows will merge into one three-week interval at the end of the former month and beginning of the latter, with four international games played instead of two.
At the moment, the start of the season is broken into three or four game blocks, with breaks in September, October and November.
Asked if this is something that helps them break up the campaign into early blocks or if it disrupts their rhythm, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “You have to adapt.
“I think we've accepted that football is like this, that sometimes players go with the national teams and the league stops and we have to adapt to whatever they decide.
“I think next season is going to be different. It's going to be like a longer break or something like this between September, October.
“We will adapt.
“I think what you want is not to have injuries when they are with the internationals because every time you are just checking like, okay, he has finished the game, they've subbed him.
“Every time they've subbed one of your players, you are asking, has it been a technical change, has there been something there behind it.
“But every time the players go to a football pitch, they can get injured, with us, with the international team and you have to accept because you cannot change.”
