Seamus Coleman has taken the time to heap huge praise onto a player who he believes has been instrumental in Everton’s fortunes the last few years.
Coleman, himself, has been an important member of Everton’s modern history, with the right-back playing hundreds of games for the club.
David Moyes described him as a monster for the work he does in the dressing room.
Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez claims he was the best right-back in the Premier League during his tenure.
The Irishman has built up a lot of respect at Everton, so when he decides to praise another member of the squad, the words carry a lot of weight.

Seamus Coleman says Jordan Pickford changed Everton’s fortunes
Jordan Pickford has signed a new contract at Everton, and his teammates were asked to describe the shot-stopper by the club’s social media team.
When it came to Seamus Coleman’s answer, it was immense praise for Pickford. The duo are close friends at Everton, and the defender is a big fan of the goalkeeper.
The Irishman said, “Incredible for Everton. I think without him we’d be looking at a different future. I think in the last three or four seasons especially, he has been incredible. People talk about his character, and he is funny around the place, but what an incredible goalkeeper.

“And we are very lucky to have him for a few more years.”
Pickford’s and Everton’s future could very well have been different, as Coleman said.
In 2023, Everton were preparing to let Pickford leave on loan to Manchester United if they were relegated.
They had even planned on bringing in James Trafford as his replacement, but strong performances from the shot-stopper towards the end of the season saved the Toffees from the drop, and now he is set to stay for many years to come, and there is a chance to achieve something special now.

Everton can achieve something special with Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and having a player of his quality committed long-term to the club is something Everton have not seen for some time.
The Blues have had a lot of world-class talent over the years, but too often they are sold to clubs competing at a higher level.
John Stones and Romelu Lukaku are just a few of the names in recent history.
Now, with Pickford staying at the club and wanting to build a legacy, it is time for the Merseyside club to provide fans with unforgettable memories.
Based on early results, it should not be out of the question for the Toffees to finish in a European spot and perhaps make a deep run into the FA Cup.
