Brian Windhorst Names LeBron James’ ‘Best Teammate’

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has played alongside multiple Hall of Famers and legendary figures of the NBA.

But there remains debate about who his best teammate ever is.

NBA insider Brian Windhorst has an opinion: he feels that James never had it better than when he was on the court with Kyrie Irving.

“In my opinion the best, most compatible teammate LeBron has ever had in Kyrie. There were moments where he and Wade were transcendent, there were moments where he and AD were impossible to deal with. The guy who he played with who best fit his skillset was Kyrie, because you need a guy who can handle the ball, that is also awesome off the ball,” Windhorst said.

As Windhorst noted, James has been very lucky with the people he’s played with.

Dwyane Wade was a great comrade for James, and Anthony Davis was perhaps his best frontcourt ally.

But when it comes to the best of the best, Windhorst feels that no one tops Irving.

From 2014 to 2017, James and Irving led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their greatest chapter in team history.

They turned the team into the best of the East and brought them their first championship.

Throughout their time together, James and Irving had a natural chemistry that seemed to always work, no matter who they were playing against.

But it didn’t last forever, and there have been a lot of rumors about why Irving eventually left to try his luck with the Boston Celtics.

In the years since these two split up, they have both played with a number of great players.

No matter where they go and what they achieve, fans still fondly remember when they were suited up together in Cleveland.
