'I will be back': Singer tells Wayne Rooney he'll be at Anfield to watch Liverpool against Man United tomorrow

Liverpool and Manchester United facing one another is one of the biggest games on the Premier League calendar.

People from far and wide try their best to get a seat in the stadium, even if they don’t support the clubs.

Liverpool and Manchester United are facing one another for the first time this season during their game on Sunday.

And, ahead of the clash, Scouse singer Jamie Webster has told Wayne Rooney that he’ll be in attendance at Anfield.

Jamie Webster confirms that he’ll be there watching Liverpool v Manchester United on Sunday

At the moment, Webster is arguably one of Liverpool’s most famous artists.

Of course, he’s nowhere near the level of the Beatles or anything like that, but over the last few years, he’s slowly started to make a name for himself.

His song called Weekend in Paradise is arguably his most famous, with the Liverpool-born musician even featuring as one of the main acts during the Reds’ title parade in the summer.

And now, while speaking on the Wayne Rooney Show, the singer has confirmed his attendance at Sunday’s game.

“It is probably a good time for them to play us,” he said.

“International players are coming back from all parts of the world, and they are never fresh. Players like Alexis Mac Allister tend to struggle.

“I will back Liverpool at Anfield, but it is our second derby, so form goes out of the window, and it comes down to who wants to fight more on the day.

“We showed fight at the beginning of the season, but you can see the effect of losing three games. It is like the tables have turned.

“I still think we will have a good season because it is only a couple of losses, but I would rather play someone else this weekend than Manchester United.

“If we lose, then people will start saying that it’s not our season, and you get written off. I don’t know whether that is right or wrong, but pundits and the media will write Liverpool off if it is four defeats in a row.

“That might give some players a kick up the bottom, or equally, it might get in some players’ heads.

“What Liverpool need more than anything is a 2-0 win, a clean sheet and Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak to be the scorers.

“That could then be a turning point.”

Liverpool will need to be at their best if they want to beat Manchester United

If you asked any Liverpool fan a month or so ago whether they were confident about Sunday’s game, they’d have likely said yes.

However, before the international break came upon us, Liverpool managed to lose three games on the bounce, including one to Galatasaray.

This, of course, isn’t the end of the world due to how early into the season it is, but if they don’t turn things around soon, that’s when it could become a cause for concern.

In all honesty, Man United aren’t in the best run of form either, but for some reason, they almost always seem to step things up a gear or two when facing Liverpool.

And, with the Reds’ confidence as low as it is at the moment, the Red Devils could easily capitalise on the Merseyside outfit’s weaknesses, with Chris Sutton even touting Bryan Mbeumo to run riot.

That is, especially since Ibrahima Konate has never been in a worse run of form than he currently finds himself in.
