Fantasy Football and DFS Game Previews For NFL Week 7

Week 7 of the NFL season began on Thursday night with a shootout between AFC North rivals. Now we shift our focus over to the main slate of games for Sunday of Week 7. Here are fantasy football and DFS game previews for all the games on that slate.

NFL Week 7 Game Previews for DFS and Season-Long Fantasy Football

Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings 1:00 p.m. EST

This is a tough game to predict as both teams have excellent weapons who could have tremendous games. Yet, their offenses haven’t been as good as expected, so there has been some fantasy disappointment. At least we know that the volume goes to a limited number of players on both sides.

I want to play Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts and receiver AJ Brown because their prices are so good. However, the Vikings‘ defense is healthy, and the Eagles’ offensive line hasn’t been playing very well. I could see the Vikings putting on a ton of pressure and controlling this game. I do see an opportunity, though, for big plays, so playing the Eagles isn’t out of the question. We have seen the Vikings’ front get run on, but they were missing their linebackers in those games. Still, the volume has to go somewhere, which could go to RB Saquon Barkley. I could see him scoring 20 plus points, but I could see him scoring 10. I think there are several better options to choose from. WR DeVonta Smith could be the sneaky option as he will see less coverage. TE Dallas Goedert is solid, but can he score?

I believe that QB Carson Wentz will get the start for the Vikings. You can always look to WR Justin Jefferson as an option. He should see a ton of targets, as I don’t think the Vikings will be successful running the football with RB Jordan Mason. If you want to get different, WR Jordan Addison should be very low-owned at a bargain price. TE TJ Hockenson is of no interest to me; it’s shocking that his value is so low.

The Dolphins are really easy to analyze. They have RB De’Von Achane and WR Jaylen Waddle, who get the volume. The DFS Hero Optimizer likes Achane this week, and the Browns have struggled against opposing teams’ number-one receivers, so both are in play.

Brown’s RB Quinshon Judkins is in a smash spot and is my favorite DFS play on the entire board. Miami has been gashed on the ground, and Judkins will be licking his chops. TE David Njoku has not been practicing this week and could miss the game. TE Harold Fannin Jr. would be in a smash spot and will be in many of my lineups. I am still avoiding WR Jerry Jeudy as QB Dillion Gabriel struggles getting the ball to the outside receivers.

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs 1:00 p.m. EST

The Raiders are afraid to throw the football with QB Geno Smith. He’s been an interception waiting to happen. I may be interested in tight and Michael Mayer because he’s so cheap, but I’m not expecting a repeat performance against much better competition this week. The Raiders won’t be able to run the football, so that leaves out RB Ashton Jeanty.

The Chiefs are another team that doesn’t run the football well, and they just have a little bit of a committee there, which is great news for QB Patrick Mahomes. He’s been a dynamite I don’t give me producer because one, they can’t run the ball, and he’s got a lot of great weapons. It can be difficult to find out who it’s going to go to. Some weeks it’s WR Hollywood Brown, some weeks it’s WR Xavier Worthy, and some weeks it’s Travis Kelce. Now, we have WR Rasheed Rice returning, which makes playing any of those players less desirable. There is a chance that Rice could be fed the ball, and he is another player who could break the slate at $5,600.
