While Nottingham Forest did create some chances, [Chelsea](https://chelseanews.com/) were the ones who took full advantage of theirs, blowing out former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou 3-0 to send last season’s surprise package team into a further tailspin.
The best player on the pitch from a Chelsea perspective was winger Pedro Neto, who continues to prove why he is the most underrated player on the team and one of the best wide creators in the Premier League.
Neto dropped a goal and an assist on the heads of Nottingham Forest, generating a team leading four key passes in the winning effort as the clear focal point of the team out wide.
Reece James was just as good, and he’s gotten back to his world-class form this season for Chelsea despite receiving surprisingly little fanfare from the mainstream Premier League media.
The 25-year-old also scored and assisted for the Blues, providing a well-taken volleyed finish from another messy Nottingham Forest defensive set piece, cooly finishing between the legs of a Forest defender as if he were prime Dimitar Berbatov.
James was similarly active as a creator for Chelsea and was not tested defensively in the slightest, showing the kind of veteran prowess that only a 25-year-old who already has years and years of experience, including a Champions League crown, can deliver.
Finally, young hero Josh Acheampong had a great game and his breakout moment with a goal, rewarding all the faith the Chelsea organization and manager Enzo Maresca have placed in him.
Beyond the goal, Acheampong was a willing attacking threat throughout and was even better defensively, completely shutting down Nottingham Forest with four interceptions. He already looks like the next world-class Premier League defender, and the Blues badly need that this season.
