Unai Emery applauded the work of Thomas Frank as the new head coach of Tottenham.
Spurs sat in 17th place at the end of the 2024/25 season in the Premier League and a Europa League crown was not enough to save the job of Ange Postecoglou. Frank filled in for him as the new man in the dugout from June, and his pragmatic turn has been for the better of the results of the team so far.
**Tottenham**have taken only four points from three home fixtures in the Premier League, but they still sit in the top four with the highest points tally on the road. Benefitting from the arrivals of Xavi Simons, Mohamed Kudus, and Joao Palhinha in the summer, there should be more to come.
“Premier League**, every match we are facing is being very difficult, and of course Tottenham is one of the contender teams to be in the top seven.
“Last year they didn’t achieve it, but of course this year they are really playing fantastic, getting good results, they are now in the top with 14 points, and playing at home, they are feeling strong.
*“For them, was so, so important to achieve the Champions League.*
*“Of course, Ange Postecoglou, he got it as a coach and now with Thomas Frank, this season, he is starting very, very motivated because through Champions League they are adding another competition in Europe, the most important.*
“Of course, they added some players in their squad, very important players.
*“I think now, the coach is of course doing very good work like he did when he was in Brentford, and he deserved to get something more.*
*“Now he has the opportunity, and he has his challenge, and Tottenham is a team now, one of the best teams in the Premier League.*
“Of course, in their stadium, with their supporters, with their capacity individually and collectively with the new tactical idea they are trying to set, they are a so, so strong team.”
