Burnley return from the international break looking to put an end to their recent run of poor results and earn themselves a win at their home ground, Turf Moor.
As they go up against fellow promoted side Leeds United, who pipped the Clarets to the Championship title on goal difference through a late goal against Plymouth Argyle on the last day of the season.
So as well as returning to winning ways the hosts will also want to seek revenge on Leeds as they finished on top in the Championship.
Putting a stop to the poor form
Scott Parker's side have picked up just four points from their opening seven Premier League games which sees them sit in 18th position just one point off safety.
With their only win being against fellow promoted side Sunderland, which was also at Turf Moor. However, Burnley's other six games have seen them play four of the traditional 'big six' as well as Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest who are both competing in European competitions.
However, a silver lining for the Clarets is that they have got the majority of their quote on quote tougher fixtures out of the way early and can put together a good run of form with games against Leeds and Wolverhampton Wanderers back to back.
If Burnley want to survive the drop this season then they will need to make sure they are winning their games at home against fellow relegation candidates which is what they have done so far with their win against Sunderland.
Leeds injury woes
With Leeds already struggling with injuries in the attacking department with uncertainty surrounding the availability of Daniel James and Willy Gnonto. As well as the recent development that Noah Okafor also might be sideline for the trip to Turf Moor.
This makes for good reading for Burnley fans as Leeds will be depleted in attack which should give the Lancashire side and their fans hope that they can walk away with all three points.
This leaves Leeds with a forward line consisting of Jack Harrison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brenden Aaronson. Which should give Parker and his side some positivity towards the game as nobody in that frontline has been particularly clinical in front of goal in recent times.
During the international break, Burnley and South Africa striker, Lyle Foster suffered a knock which saw him withdraw from international duty and return to Burnley early.
Which puts him as a doubt for the game against Leeds. Handing a glorious opportunity to Armando Broja. With the Albanian man returning from international duty after picking up a goal and an assist in a victory over Jordan. This is the perfect time for him to find form and cement himself as a useful option for Scott Parker.
With games against Leeds and Wolves back to back Burnley will be expecting to create chances to score which will give Broja an ample of opportunities to find his goalscoring form for his new side Burnley.
Tactical set up
Burnley have struggled in recent weeks using the five at the back formation which has often seen them lose positions in defence which has led to opponents capitalising on the holes left behind.
So the game against Leeds could see a welcome change back to a four man defence with a three man midfield.
Especially with the Leeds' strength being their midfield with the likes of Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff and Ethan Ampadu being vastly important to how they have started their life back in the Premier League.
So if Burnley match this and use a three man midfield of Josh Cullen, Florentino Luis and Lesley Ugochukwu they can really put their grasp on the game as their physicality might be too much for the Leeds midfield.
As for their defensive stability their only clean sheet of the season came when they used a four man defence against Sunderland. Which saw the Clarets have better spatial awareness as well as know their roles a lot better as a unit and as individual defenders.
