Former Nottingham Forest defender Michael Dawson has given his thoughts on the sacking of Ange Postecoglou. Forest are on the hunt for their third manager of the season following the Australian's departure.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss was relieved of his duties after their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday. Postecoglou was winless in his eight matches in charge, losing six and drawing the other two.
The Australian was a surprise appointment earlier this season when Nuno Espirito Santo was dismissed just three games into the campaign. However, 39 days later Evangelos Marinakis has made another major decision and Sean Dyche has emerged as the early bookmakers' favourite alongside Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard, who recently turned down a move to return to Scottish Premiership side Rangers.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Dawson has given his immediate reaction to Postecoglou's departure and talk of a Forest move for Dyche.
“I heard it in the week. I can see why they would go for Sean Dyche, his links with his staff, Ian Woan, Steve Stone," he said. "They (Forest) are now looking over their shoulders.
”Fourth bottom, five points in eight games. He (Marinakis) will be worried.
"Am I surprised it's happened now? Probably not, on the back of his eight games and 18 goals conceded.
"I sat on Sky Sports News on Monday and went 'give the guy time, how long is this going to carry on for?'
"Marinakis has caused this himself. People and Nottingham Forest fans when Ange got given the manager's job were thinking 'why him?'
"So much of a contrast between Nuno, what he did, and the way Ange played last year.
"Yes, he brought a trophy for Tottenham, magnificent, but Ange from what we saw at Celtic, saw at Spurs, he was never going to change. "Do I feel for him? I certainly do."
Dyche has been out of the dugout since he was sacked by Everton in January. The 54-year-old was a youth team player and is local to the City Ground, often seen in attendance at Forest matches during his time at Goodison Park.
