TAMPA − Could the Bucs be getting heathy at the right time?
Rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka, who left last Sunday’s win over the 49ers with a hamstring injury, returned to practice Saturday and could be in play for Monday night’s game in Detroit.
Egbuka, who turned 23 four days ago, played more than half the offensive snaps against San Francisco. He is the team’s leading receiver with 27 receptions for 469 yards and five touchdowns.
The Bucs also are expected to get back receiver Mike Evans, who practiced for the second time on Saturday. Evans missed three games with a hamstring strain.
Linebacker Lavonte David (knee/rib) returned to practice on Saturday as well. Also expected to play are cornerbacks Zyon McCollum (thumb) and Benjamin Morrison (hamstring).
The Bucs will be without running back Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) and receiver Chris Godwin (fibula).
