Newcastle United could risk losing star midfielder Sandro Tonali in the summer, with Juventus eyeing up a move for the Italian international.
Newcastle have slowly but surely built a squad fit for competing at the top end of the Premier League. An astute centre-back pairing and an attack that can cause chaos on its day, the magnum opus of the Magpies' side is the midfield.
The trio of Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali have cemented themselves as one of the league's best midfields. Passionate, robust, creative, and intelligent, Tonali has found himself subject to speculation regarding his future as his current £190,000-a-week contract expires in 2027, and as per GiveMeSport's senior correspondent, Fabrizio Romano, no fresh talks have occured.
Having had a rocky start to life in England, owing to a 10-month footballing ban, a move back home to Italy could be on the cards for the former AC Milan talent, as TBR Football reports that Juventus are keeping tabs on the Italian.

In his second full season of Premier League football, Tonali's performances have validated the reported £55 million the St James' Park outfit paid for him.
However, with just two years left on his contract, and with links back to Italy remaining a constant in his career, it seems a move back to Serie A could be in Tonali's future.
Having departed AC Milan for Tyneside in 2023, it is Turin-based side Juventus who are looking to acquire the services of the 29-time capped Italian international. A report produced by TBR Football, no price tag has been associated with the proposed move, but it can be assumed Newcastle United would want a high fee to let go of their star man.
An outcome that fans of the Magpies would dread, fans of the North East-based club will hope newly-appointed sporting director, Ross Wilson, will get to work on offering out new contracts. With the likes of Bruno, Sven Botman, Tino Livramento and Tonali all in need of new terms, Wilson will have his work cut out.
As for Juventus, their last first-placed finish in Serie A came in the 2019/20 season, with The Old Lady currently undergoing a rocky spell as a club. A Coppa Italia win in the 2023/24 season is the last trophy triumph the club has experienced, and signings such as Tonali will help restore the club as a force to be reckoned with in Italy.
