Indiana basketball: Luke Goode signs with the Los Angeles Lakers G League affiliate

Former Indiana basketball player **[Luke Goode](https://247sports.com/Player/Luke-Goode-46059371)** has signed a training camp deal with the Los Angeles Lakers G League affiliate, he tells Peegs.com.

Goode will be with the South Bay Lakers.

Goode has been to Los Angeles and worked out with the Lakers as well.

Goode's pro workouts this summer were a little limited because he was in the waiver process until mid-July. After that, he was able to spend more time on the professional component of his basketball career.

The 6-foot-7 wing from Fort Wayne finished his career with the Hoosiers after playing three years at Illinois.

Goode played on Big Ten title teams at Illinois, and started 16 of the 32 games he played at Indiana, averaging 11.0 points per game in Big Ten play, and overall averaging 3.1 rebounds and shooting 39 percent from 3-point range for the Hoosiers.

Luke Goode points to a teammate against Sam Houston State on December 3, 2024.

"It was awesome being able to go back and play at Indiana, play where my dad played football, where my mom went to school, seeing them the whole year, seeing my brother and my sister and whole family," Goode told Peegs.com.

"I'm so glad I made that move. Having that degree from Indiana, that's always a good thing. It was a great decision. I'm so happy I made it."

Goode leaves college basketball with plenty of cherished moments as a Hoosier, but one stands out.

"I would say beating Purdue at home. That was awesome," Goode said. "That something Indiana fans take great pride in.

"And just getting to play in Assembly Hall. That's something I'll always remember, walking out of that tunnel and fulfilling the dream of playing in the candy stripes."
