"It's the mentality of everyone in the team. We want to try and win.
"Obviously, I set him \[Jean-Philippe Mateta\] up with a good chance at the end, but he's left with three goals.
"So, he's obviously contributed a lot today. These things happen in the life of a striker. Sometimes you score, sometimes you miss, but the main thing is to get in the right areas.
"He contributed really well today."
When Nketiah joined the action, Palace looked beaten, trailing 2-0 after teenage striker Eli Kroupi's two goals on his first Premier League start.
But Palace began to offer a great attacking threat with Nketiah on the pitch and within five minutes, Mateta had scored twice to draw the Eagles level.
"It \[the comeback\] just shows the resilience and the mentality that we have.
"Obviously, we have people that can influence the game and help the team, whether they play or don't play.
"We've got a really good group, a close-knit group, and we never give up. That's going to be needed throughout the season."
